The Venetian Algarotti took over the acquisition of paintings for the Saxon court from 1742. On his three trips to Italy, he acquired a number of important works, such as the "Chocolate Girl" by Liotard. His time in Dresden sheds light on an exciting facet of Saxon court life.
The event takes place as part of the Elbvenezian Carnival.
